Woho!!! So many changes today

I spent a few hours yesterday and a few hours today to read a little bit about blogger template and applied so many changes to it. First of all I was able to implement the 3 column template of my own and also got a little understanding of how these diffirent part of the template work together.

I was able to play with borders, background colors, spacing, padding etc.. I also implemented expandable blog post. To implement expandable blogpost feature I got help from http://hackosphere.blogspot.com/2006/11/selective-expandable-posts.html

I am happy that I was able to spend some time to learn this and more happy that I got some happy outputs :)

Yeah, I changed to 2 column template :(

If you dont see my three column template here anymore, its all my fault :(. I have temporarily changed to the basic 2 column template as of now.

I am doing a little learning here, trying to understand the beasic layout and how this whole concept of templating works on blogger. Wish me luck, I am hoping that i will find some time soon to revert back to three column template and this time positively the one created by me :), just hoping, hehe

As I mentioned in my previous post, I was lucky today and it dint take me more than five minutes to get started with this three column blogger template.

Steps that I followed :
--opened google.com
--searched for "three column template for new blogger" without quotes
--very first result was webtalks.blogspot.com/2007/04/downlaod-three-column-new-blogger.html
--there was a link to download three column blogger template there.

Story of my three column blog template dream :)

From the day the beta version of new blogger interface was released to be a few users for beta testing I was always on a look for a three column template, the one that finally I am using on this blog of mine.

It was difficult in the past to get a three column ready to use template available for free on the net. But today, I guess I was lucky to find it in the first few minute of my search. Last time I searched for a three column new blogger template was about three months back and gaveup on it after spending a couple of unsuccessful hours.

In the past, about eight months back, I also tried editing one of the default blogger template to comeup with a 3 column blogger template when it was very new in the beta version and I totally screwed my template :(.

I guess today is a Good day for me and I am totally excited about this three column template.

Template Guru: I am not a blogger template guru.

Welcome to my first post on this blog, I have been using internet for years now and in the past has created a few blogs which either because of lack of time on my hand or other following listed reasons, died :(.

Reasons for death of my blogs:
1. I am not an expert in creating or customizing blogs.
2. I always wanted to implement new features to my blog and loose my temper, as its not an easy to do job, needs a lot of patience and technical expertise.
3. Rapid changes in the way blogging and the template designs are evolving.
4. Blah Blah Blah...
5. I am not a Template Guru.
6. Will keep adding more and more as they come to my mind.

Today again I couldnt stop myself from getting back to blogging arena and I have decided that this particular bolg, I will dedicate completely to my journey as I test and implemet new changes to my Blog Template before I implemet them on the my other blog that I maintain at http://topps.blogspot.com

Thats what is my plan now but I will not promise that I will stick to this plan forever. My plan might change and I might as well start adding some other stuffs as I go along.
